Cookies Policy

Last updated 7 July 2026

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit. GA4 is configured with Consent Mode v2 set to 'denied' by default and IP anonymisation — no analytics cookies are set unless you accept them in the cookie banner. We do not use Facebook Pixel, advertising trackers, retargeting tags or any third-party marketing tools beyond GA4.

What this site does and doesn't set

  • Google Analytics 4 — set to Consent Mode default-denied. No GA cookies until you accept analytics in the cookie banner
  • GA4 cookies (only if you accept): _ga (24 months, distinguishes users), _ga_<container-id> (24 months, persists session state) — both with IP anonymisation
  • A single consent cookie (cc_cookie) that remembers the choice you made in the banner, so we don't ask you on every visit
  • No advertising cookies — we don't run paid ads tied to this site, and we don't share data with ad networks
  • No social-media tracking — there's no Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or similar third-party scripts
  • No retargeting — we don't track you across the internet

Changing your mind

You can change your cookie choice at any time using the 'Cookie settings' link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops analytics immediately and clears the _ga cookies this site set.

Embedded Google Maps

If a page on this site includes an interactive Google Map, the map is configured to load only after you click a 'Show map' button. Once you click, Google's own cookies apply, governed by Google's privacy policy. If you don't click, no map loads and no Google cookies are set. This pattern keeps the no-banner position intact while letting visitors choose to load a map when they need one.

Future changes

If we add functionality that requires non-essential cookies — for example a chat widget, a session-recording tool or paid advertising — we will add a proper consent management mechanism and update this policy before that goes live. We'll never sneak tracking onto the site after the fact.

Your browser-level cookie controls

Independently of this site, all major browsers let you block or delete cookies, request your location not be shared, and use private/incognito modes. If you want to lock down tracking generally, the most effective single step is enabling Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox or equivalent settings in Safari and Edge.
